Some Macro...

Hi there. I'm new here. Been lurking for a while and finally decided to register and post some images.
I do all kinds of photography, but have been trying my hand at macro lately.
I shoot a 40D and do the poor man's macro by stacking. I stack a 50mm f1.4 on top of a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 @ 50mm, and the same 50mm f1.4 on top of a 70-200mm f2.8L @ 200mm (none of the shots below use the 70-200mm btw). I'm still learning.
Here's some of work thus far...
Sorry if too many images or too big.
It's a little misleading; From the curly little vine down are the first ever shots I took. They are all hand held in my back yard with pretty low f-stops (hence the very shallow depth of field). The ones before that are on glass under studio lights at much high f-stops (hence better depth of field).
Hope you enjoy. Comments and critique are welcome!
1/4 in piece of chord. Is pink and looked better in B&W:
Edge of a steak knife:
A wee little BB:
A small tuft of down feathers I found in the back of my truck:
A piece of coral:
The middle of a daffodil:
A little shell:
A shark's tooth:
A little curly vine thing:
Just a leaf with an interesting texture:
A rose thorn:
An old staple in the top of a picket fence post:
A drop of pine resin with a spider web entwined:
A dime:
Some interesting bark:

Mind you, I haven't tried the 50 on the 200 setup like this yet. Can't wait to do so!
