Personally I like the first one in this post compared to the one you currently have entered. I like how the moutians frame the scene and how the rays of sunshine are shining off the water.

Both beautiful. thumb.gif I like the first one of these two best for the challenge, though I have to check back to see if I like it better than the one you have already posted. ne_nau.gif BTW, the horiz0n looks to me as though it is not horizontal. May be an illusion, but you may want to check it out if you decide to post the picture. :):

    Good luck!

Neat! It must be wonderful to live with such beautifully breathtaking, natural vistas. iloveyou.gif

I've been once and planning to go again...no matter where you go, the views are
impressive. We did the bike touring thing (pay your money and get treated like a
king--it was nice to do once). It was the quick tour from Anchorage to Fairbanks to
Valdez then via ferry to Whittier. I want to repeat the Thompson Pass descent
again--that was a fun, fast descent. I'd like to spend a week or so in the mountains.
Maybe Denali (but I want to take photo gear tho).

Pathfinder keeps talking motorcycles but ride there from the lower 48. That could
    be good too.

Check out the Alaska Range and Chugach Section, especially the alaska range. Most of those shots are from the Ruth Gorge right underneath Denali. Taken by a man named Joe Puryear it really lets you see what someone with a high quality camera can do!!

his site is www.cascadeimages.com (crazy crazy pictures!)

and the encyclopedia i was talking about with the Alaska Range and Chugach sections is here :
