Site hits

My question is this: One of my galleries has approximately 56,000 "hits", as recorded in the "control panel" in a very short period of time. What does this mean? Does it mean an individual "clicked" the mouse once, twice, etc..on one picture within the gallery? I am looking for ways to generate more traffic to the galleries with images for sale. I may sound stupid, but this is one of my angles to get he right answer. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Dejan,

This help page explains our stats page:

You don't have a link to your site in your signature. Can you include your site name - nickname in posts please? It makes it easier to check. I presume you have a Pro account. You can add google analytics or statcounter to your site if you wish:

Number 40 in the customisation faq has the code to put these into your site:

Thanks. I usually don't post here, but I'll add to my signature.
