SmugShot not sending location data with the pic.

About 90% of the time when I upload with SmugShot it strips the location data from the pic. Once in SmugMug it's not there. I thought at first it was the iPhone camera not tagging the pics but when I load them in iPhoto the location info is in fact there. Send it back to my SmugMug gallery and it's not there.

Check the gallery. A few do have location data, most don't. If I look at the same pics in iPhoto they all have location data.

With which app did you take the photos that don't have location data in your iPhone Shots gallery?
You have to take the photos with SmugShot or location data won't be included upon uploading to SmugMug with SmugShot.

I'll have to check again. I was trying both camera apps. So your saying if I use the SmugShot app it will upload the location data? If I shoot with the iPhone camera app and then upload with SmugShot it will not keep the location data?

Yes, that's right. I just tried it and that's the way it works for me.

    Yes I noticed that tonight.

Smugmug support: Do you intend to fix this or is this a case of Apple's "closed" method ?

the iPhone libraries doesn't allow access to any kind of EXIF info (I haven't looked at the latest version of the libraries but I guess it's the same thing there)
