Beautiful shot, almost looks like the top of Clingmon's Dome?

You' re exactly right John, shot from the parking lot at Clingman's Dome mid July If I remember right , I really enjoyed the Smoky's , I found some places the general public doesn't frequent, but this place has been used a lot but still pretty. Thanks for the uplifting words , makes missing all those dinners worth it .

I like it, great colors and many layers.
I'm not sure if you could compose to get rid of those branches of trees sticking in off on each side but I think it would make it a touch cleaner.

I was unable to compose without the trees while using an 80mm lens .BTW the dead trees are caused a small bug that is killing the fir trees in the mountains . thanks for the comments
