While I still expext to geet snow dumped on us at least one more time this year the days are growing longer and warmer, so I returened to a location that I shot in Feb. while there is still a lot of snow when I treked into the woods I followed a hiking/snowshoe trail the snow had been packed, as well as melted and frozen several time making it hard enough to walk on... in most places several time I broke though into snow that was hip deep! Anyhow enjoy and thanks for looking.

Good job, Peter. I like #4 and #6, but the whole series is very nice. Where is that falls?

Thanks Lauren, all of these pictures were taken along Little River in Belfast, as the name implies it is not a very large body except by the two dams which are the city resevoirs, the rapids in #6 were almost compleatly frozen over in Feb. when I was out there. looked a lot like this...

That time of year I was snowshoes required. When I was out there this week the trail had been packed enough that I could walk without sinking for the most part, a few times I did break though up to my hips.mwink.gif

When my brother and I went out hiking one day last month, I had a couple of hip-deep moments also. Afterwards, my brother said "Don't step off the trail." rolleyes1.gif Well, I did say I wanted lots of snow!

I'm sorry we weren't able to meet up during my visit, but I did appreciate the call. Next time, I'll plan to head up toward Belfast and you can show me your favorite haunts. Hope to see you at the Acadia shootout also.
