Lens/Filter Cleaning

I recently purchased a used filter, and its in great condition, just a bit dusty. My lens kit is growing, and in the process dust is getting on the lenses. I need a reliable way to clean the my filters and lenses without the worry of scratching my lens.

Are there any suggestions on what sort of things I should invest in for reliable cleaning purposes?

if you find yourslef in the field with no cleaning supplies...and it's just smudges..blow on it to get the condensation on the lens and use you shirt. I would do this for filters only..no the lens itself.

i use a nikon lenspen. One side has a brush, which i use to brush away dust. The other side has a nub of some sort that i use to clean off fingerprints. works great and I've never scratched a lens with it. I have 4 of them, one in each camera bag so i never leave home without it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I headed to WalMart tonight and bought a microfiber cloth, but I didn't see any wet Zeiss cloths. I'm quite interested in that.

Also, the pen sounds quite alluring, and would last longer then a finite amount of wet clothes. How much do they run?

Zeiss lens cloths are usually near the eye doctor/eyeglass vendor......you can also find the lens pens around in sporting goods

If there is a gander mtn....you can find the lens pens and micro fiber cloths back near the scopes also

Around $6.50 on amazon.com. Best to order multiple at once if you don't have free shipping (like I do), you'll need them later when you lose them rolleyes1.gif
