    Lenscape...
How about this for a comment: BEAUTIFUL CAPTURE! I love this picture for several reasons: the composition is very pleasing, especially with the foreground interest in the lower left frame, the overall grandeur of the location, and of course the brilliant golden light hitting the mountains and reflecting in the river. Thank you for also including the EXIF data...did you happen to use any filter or polarizer for this shot?

    Cheers,
    Kevin K.

I have used a 2 stop soft edge ND grad filter. Thanks for your comment Kevin.

Very nice shot. The foreground and background are nicely exposed.

Looks like a wonderful spot to camp :D

I love everything about this shot, simply stunning. thumb.gifthumb.gif I'm interested you mention a custom curve, would you mind elaborating (I'm also a D70 owner)? I've read and studied about using custom curves (esp. for portrait) but gave up on it, have you found them important or "must have"? Thanks!

I have used fotogenetic ev3_v40 curve but at post-processing I changed it to Nikon normal tone. I do this to reduce noise.

Once in a while I’ll leave the custom curve at the post-processing.
    Thanks 1drink.gif
