Ready to purchase Tripod

Thanks to all of the threads about tripods, I am now ready to purchase a new one. I have decided on the Gitzo1340. Gitzo has discontinued this mode, but they can still be found. I kept looking on ebay and dgrin for used ones, but they do not exist. I will eventually use this tripod with a Really Right Stuff ball head. If anyone knows of a good used 1340, I would appreciate a contact. A am a retired educator, and every dime I can save counts. Thanks again to everyones input on the forum.
