Hi, I bought this programmable release and like it way more than I thought I would. here's my hang up- I have no problem operating it in one of the three modes: timer, interval, etc., however the instruction book says that two modes can be combined (for example, i want to take 20 frames at 30 second intervals, or something like that), and it shows pictures of this on the LCD. I don't see anywhere how to actually set this up though. If anyone uses this remote and knows how to combine modes I would appreciate the help.
Thanks

Follow the instructions to cancel all settings you may have set (page 28). I clear all at once by pressing the mode and illumination button simultaneously as the manual states.

Set each "mode" to what you want it to do by setting a mode's parameters, then changing to the next mode and setting it, etc. Don't set the modes you don't want active.

Last step: press the start/stop when you are ready to initiate the actions. At least that's what I do with mine. The combinations that can be used together are shown on page 33.

I find the instructions somewhat unclear and I keep the instruction booklet handy (as well as an electronic PDF copy on my laptop) so I can be sure of what I am doing if I have not used it for several months.

Thanks! so that's the missing link. I thought that once I switched to another mode, even if the previous one was set, would only implement that mode. The instructions were confusing, as they showed clear examples of mode combinations, but not exactly how to get there. Again, thanks, I'll try it out.

    Yeah, what Henry said! deal.gif

I must say, this device is not extremely intuitive. I don't use it too often and each time I need to I have to spend like 10 minutes to re-educate myself. However, once you "get it" it can stay in your head for a few days without any major issues:-)
