I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hey! I know that place. :D

Very cool. I resisted a few of those temptations while I was there.

    Michael,

I always have a monopod in use. Helps to keep things steady, even when it is not touching the ground. I have to laugh....there's one guy I see at these shows that has an assistant with him, carries at least three bags of stuff and about 4 cameras. Now that is packing heavy.

    Thanks for the kind comment.

Think I'll break out the monopod for todays effort and see how that goes.
Thanks for the push to try it again. :D
I find the dang thing a pain in vertical shots and in working where
lots of folks are about. Especially when the staff is extended.
Today is a flower show. Lots of people I'm sure.

Awhile back I read a Kodak Pro Workshop Series Book
Corporate & Location Photography by Gary Gladstone.
Its about the first place I picked up the sense of what carrying a lot
of gear is. He also had an assistant. Excellent book & the photography
    fine, fine, fine.

    Michael,

Because I use a quick-disconnect plate system ( Arca style from RRS ), getting the camera off the monopod for vertical work....if I have to.... and getting it back on is a real snap. I've even been able, in many cases, to use the monopod when tripods are prohibited. I swear by the things.
