My New Orleans Album
I just got back from spending 4 days in New Orleans and I tried to capture all that the city is. I have an album on my website with 140 pics but here are a few for you to see if you don't want to go to my site.
One of the Trolleys that runs down Canal street downtown.
A street performer in the park on the river walk.
The birds on the river walk are very brave.
Simply a sad sight.
A street performer using a child from the audience.
The French Quarter
Cafe De Monde, a New Orleans landmark
The Cafe De Monde specialty, the "Bignet" which is fried french bread dough with powdered sugar on top
Horse drawn carriage driver
A French Quarter cook taking a break
Bourbon Street
Our Tarot card reader at Marie Laveu's house of VooDoo
Right in the heart of Bourbon Street
Cemetaries are a big part of New Orleans culture. They are quite extravigant as well
An artistic twist to solemn site
Some of the devastation hurricane Katrina left behind
Sadly, the number 1 at the bottom of that X means that a dead person was found in this home after Katrina hit.
Another sad site. Few have rebuilt in the lower ninth ward, therefore, the children don't have many others to play with or places to play other than abandoned homes.
A touching photo of a lady who is trying to rebuild her home on her own, little by little.
The rest of the album can be seen at:

These shots are really good. I am from and live in NOLA. Looks like you went downtown, frenchquater, mid city, 9th ward. I didn't see any uptown pictures. If you didn't get a chance to make it out there, next time make a trip. Night life is really comfortable as well as the sunny days on magazine like today!
You snapped a photo of a good frind of mine's mother that plays at Pat O's. The Third picture is Ms. Reeks. I will have to show her your photo.
Frenchmen st. Is another great place to go.
The Audubon Park and Zoo are awesome places to shoot. You have Loyola and Tulane right there on St. Charles. In 10 minutes in any direction on the interstate you can go see wild life outside the city and or go fishing. I love this place lol.
Thanks, I'm glad you like the album and thanks for the pointers. BTW, you have a great town!!
