#21 Red gloves part 2

Ok, so had a chance to get back in the studio and tried for something a little less spoof-like. Not sure I achieved it, but Virginia's comment about the lighting prompted me to to try the grid snoots, so I had fun with those! I'm really enjoying getting familiar with all this gear - still can't believe how lucky I am to have access to the college's studio - really a gift.

In any case, theme and variations. Btw, Kevin, I actually chose the Goudy Stout because it had a slightly 30s-ish feel to it, but I hope that invoking some shapes and layer styles helps it a little (I actually wanted a full arch top AND bottom so it almost formed a circle but couldn't figure out how to get the bottom one to go that direction, and wound up with this instead).

There's also this different shot in the series which would work - I prefer the lighting (that backlight is kinda fun), but I'm not sure if I like the expression as much - I was aiming for a maniacal smile, but it just looks a bit loopy.... !!

Just my two cents. I think this is a great idea but I think you are to harsh looking, I mean you need to be softer but not in a feminine way. Am I making sense?

Just an opinion from a stranger, but I get a feeling of over-acting, unnatural posed atmosphere, which might not be what you're looking for...

I like the eyes in the first one. Not a fan of the test though.
