First Baseball and Soccer of the season
I was assigned a soccer game and Baseball game today. Both started at the same time, so I got 1/2 of the soccer game and a couple innings of baseball. I switched between the D300 and D700 bodoes, using a Sigma 50-500mm lens. I shot in Aperture Priority, wide open, with +0.7 to +1.0 ev. Auto WB and sunlight WB. I also shot in jpg; I try to avoid Raw when shooting for the paper to save time and hard disc space.

ooh, nice picture! so something interesting DOES happen at baseball! I had to take pictures at a HS freshman baseball game Monday. What do you do with all the time during which nothing happens?? oogh.

You actually spend all that time on your toes just in case something happens. This was a fairly uneventful game. The home team was loosing pretty badly. It's all about predicting where the action will be and being ready for it.
