Engagement Photos
~ Hello ~
Posting some pics from my recent engagement shoot, as promised to some of you guys C & C welcome as always.
You can have a peek at their slide show HERE. I know it's very fast, but I don't want anybody to fall asleep :rolleyes :wink
(Finally managed to go to a location where I wanted to shoot for ages ...really love the angled, metallic walls)
1. My favorite of the day:
2. My 2nd favorite, taken in a fancy hotel downtown
3.
4. (Looks actually better in b&w):
5. Also taken in the hotel ... really like the "perspective"
6. I know it's on the yellow side, but I wanted to go with a "different look"
7. Just for fun:

Love the photos, the one with the couple in the room with the sharp angled walls is definitely one of my favorites. Keep up the good work!

(Heather, I almost didn't recognize you )
Yeah, I LOVE that wall painting .. very pretty. The hotel is actually quite fun, it's an old prison, and they kept some of the old "charm" .... they even had some old cells / well, some of the old bars anyway ... asked the groom about some prison photos, but he wasn't so much into that
E-pic season coming up ... That was a good warm-up session, but boy I was a bit rusty . Have to give credit to the groom, he was playing along, even though that was one of the longest e-shoots (considering all the different locations)
Thanks for the kind comments
She's a star now :D:D

Because of the new pic!!!
Uhm... Okay if I knew that is all it would take I would have changed it long ago...
"Super Star!" *high kick*
:curtsey
I especially like the sequence and processing of #3.
Awwww, thank you I really like little sequences like that. Didn't quite work out as I hoped, buuuuuut it was early on during the session, so "we" were still warming up to the camera Next time I'll hire a little kid, ask it to stand behind my couple and ask it to tickle them ... so they show me some real laughter
The "new" processing on 6 and 7 looks great.
Why don't you give me a lesson on that now that I can make a watermark?
Thanks for sharing.:D

A lesson about the processing on 6/7? Shhhhhht, it's a Agnieszkarized action
Thanks Jeff
These are great! I love the one that is more on the yellow side. I just love it. I love the idea of using a hotel too. Great series!

Thanks Julie Loving the dreamy / washed out effect these days. Got a few more like that, but didn't want to upset any smugmug-eyes, as I think people would beat me up for looking overexposed
The hotel was actually the couple's idea. I sent them an email, and got a quick response from the lady in charge. She was quite happy to let me shoot for some time.
As much fun as I think shooting in a hotel is, I'm not sure if I would recommend it. I was a bit scared the reception hall would be too dark, so I decided to start our shoot there ... not sure if that was a good idea, as they have to get comfortable not only with you, but also with the camera ... and being in such an environment is not easy. I would definitely do it again, but would start out in an other location. + it's an awesome back-up idea, in case it rains.
Oh come on Agnies.......
pretty please?

We also took photos on the escalators (which are not on the photo) & in a more private (wedding?) / cocktail area (blue "dotted" wall). We actually started off in the "blue room" so I had them for myself for a little while, before I took them out "in the public"
Reception Hall:
Oh my gosh, you are killing me
There is seriously not too much magic to it. (and for the most part I can't even take any credit for it anyway)
The action I used a Totally Rad Action (called Flare-up | golden) / at least I think it's from that site ... :
(The only thing I did to that one was burn the darks a bit ... nothing fancy, you could really do it on your own ... it's just easier when you can hit a button ):
Now this one here is an other story
And don't ask me how I did that one, I seriously can't remember ... there was a lot of dodging, that's for sure, and layer masks (warm tones), and .... other fun stuff :rutt
Angie, when did you get a D3? I missed that. Congrats, I'm very jealous!
