Today was supposed to be chore day, but I got up to an overcast day with no wind - perfect for waterfall shooting. I goofed around a while and finally talked myself into hitting the trail. The 1st waterfall I stopped is maybe a 45 minute drive down off the mountain a bit and doesn't it figure, the sun was out and hitting part of the falls when I got there. I hung around a bit waiting for some cloud cover, but it never came. Darn - maybe this was my punishment for not getting my chores done.
I didn't give up. There's another falls off the Blue Ridge Parkway I've been meaning to reshoot and that was only another 45 minutes to an hour away, so I headed that way. By this time some clouds had rolled in and the sun was low enough to where it wasn't in the scene at all. Here's a shot - I hope it shows up. (There was a slight SNAFU the only other time I've tried to add an image to a post and the dreaded red x showed up.)

It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you're not.
