Anhinga Feeding Time

At the Anhinga nest, the female left the nest for a considerable time, but did eventually return to feed her chicks. It's a wonder that the chick can breath during the feeding process.

On this same Palm Tree in the Viera Wetlands is a Green Heron siting on eggs in a nest.

Definitely no gag reflex there. Nice behavioral images. The greenie doesn't look disturbed by the action.

No, the Green Heron is not disturbed at all, and when her eggs hatch we will have a great photo opp to capture her chicks.
