Second attempt at portrait shots

I redid some pictures of my sisters that I put on here awhile ago. I think I really messed them up the first time. I finally got a chance to go back over them again so Im just trying to get a little feedback to see if these are any better.

The comments before said the snow was way over exposed and the contrast was way off.
Did I get a little closer with the second attempt?

The snow is still a little bright but I think I have toned it down enough (hopefully). More than anything does the skin tones look ok?
