These aren't all exactly macro shots, but I did use my macro lens for them all. Spring is popping out around here. Does anyone know if this is a sort of magnolia?

    Looks like what we call "tulip trees," which are indeed a variety of magnolia. Those are some nice images of the bud stage. The full-blooming trees can provide nice shots as well, so be watching for them.
