I've worked through a few ideas for "transportation", but this one I thought would be the most fun. I still have a bit of time (8pm sunday here) and figure I'll reshoot with better light, this is a test shot with just my pop-up flash.

What do you think? Any ideas on lighting ?

I made comments to you in the gallery but I just saw this thread here and want to comment again.

I like the one you picked. I think the comp. is great and the lighting is good. I also like that there is a smoke trail in it. I can't tell if the smoke trail is real or if you dodged it in...it doesn't matter though.

I also said this photo is my favorite of them all. As soon as I saw it I couldn't stop smiling. rolleyes1.gif
The photo actually brings back a lot of memories for me (should I be admitting this mwink.gif )

Just one side story here, I was in the Navy for 6 years. The last 3 years of my tour I was on a ship. While the ship was out to sea they would play movies every night. One night I got them to play Wizard Of Oz and let them borrow my Dark Side Of The Moon CD. They did play the movie and the CD together. Let me just say we had a lot of confused sailors that night, however there were quit a few that got it and enjoyed the show. We had been out to sea for a long time and it was an awesome break from reality... even sober mwink.gif

Thank you for the comments Karrie, I saw the comments you left in the gallery to. I really appreciate it a lot. Even though I wasn't selected as a finalist (I'm usually not selected anyway), I'm really happy with the way this shot turned out. It came out 99% what I enivisioned in my head.

I didn't do any major post processing work on it, that is real smoke - I was trying to get more but time was against me. I also have no idea how to roll a cigarette and I don't smoke so I was just lighting it while it was in the ashtray. It is full of oregano, and I imagine puffing on it would not be pleasant rolleyes1.gif

I'm thinking about taking it into PS and adding some smoke, maybe take a shot of some incence or something for the smoke. I just didnt have the time as this idea just came at 6pm last night. It took me an hour and 3 stores just to find an ashtray and papers.

Thanks again, it makes me feel good to know that someone really likes it. :D
