Flash memory prices coming down

In the linked stories, they claim flash memory prices could fall by 20% by December. Samsung's coming out with a higher density process (or something like that) which will make 2GB and 4GB cards a lot less expensive. And it will raise the minimum speed by quite a bit as well.

I've been waiting for flash prices to make a move. Glad to see it's finally happening.

    Good to hear! Although....

The new memory modules allow writing speeds of 16MB per second - which is a 50% improvement from the older 8MB/sec of the 2GB model

    Wouldnt that be a 100% improvement? headscratch.gif

20% by December is not much. I got my 2GB cards last year around this time for over $600 each, they dropped over 50%!
