DSS#21: good/bad idea?

So...it's my first challenge and I really wanted to enter. I guess I got caught up in the concept of creating a book cover. Anyway, these were from my polaroid 680SE. I guess it's a cubist self-portrait O_o The book appears to be an autobiography lol. Do you think it works? Better yet, does it qualify?

my .01 of advice
i suggest a very large right eye to off-set the mouth to face proportions that differ

have you tryed other colors of BG to your font? (instead of Black) just for giggles show me a gold color to go with your tones...im curious

Mmmm you mean a bigger eye on viewer right, and do away with the nose? I'll try that. I tried red for bg, but it was a bit bright. I'll try gold-ish then and see the difference. Thanks!
