tough choice. the only other thing I might experiment with this the crop- the part of the water (bottom right) that doesn't have any reflection is dead space, not sure how maybe a tighter crop on the buildings would look

No secrets here. Download the free Opanda EXIF reader and then right click the color photo to see shooting info, or read below.

    Manual Mode
    Shutter -25sec
    Aperture - F/13
    ISO - 200
    15mm on DX/APS-C lens
    Manual w/b - set to Incandescent/Tungsten.
    Metering mode - pattern
    Contrast - normal
    Sharpness - normal
Color mode - VividI + saturation
    AF - AF-S 51pt

Shot with Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm, tripod mounted, and used a remote shutter release.

It wasn't windy at all, so no camera shake made for a crisp shot. Focus points can be seen if you save the color photo and open it in Nikon View NX.

Shooting F/13 helps DOF, sharpness on the corners, and gives the effect of the aperture blades to the lights; that star look you see.

Another trick I like is shooting under clear night and a full moon with it to my backside, or at least at an angle to help light the cityscape. It makes a slightly noticeable difference.

Nicely done. I really liked the b/w, then you posted the color version! Nashville looks like a great city to shoot at night.
