Can the shopping cart be enabled for galleries if you print your own photos? Can I put my prices in there and have customers use it even if I'm not having SmugMug do the printing?

    The feature you are looking for is called "Self Fufillment" and no, that is not an option right now.

    There are work-arounds using Google Checkout, but nothing that has seamless integration with Smugmug's cart.
