Tulip playtime

The wife got a bargain bucket of 50 tulips on Monday - presumably left over from mother's day. So as the weather yesterday was not bug friendly I had a play.
In the last 2 shots you can see how the anther splits an everts itself to reveal the pollen formed on the inside.

    Are you using extension tubes? If not, what lens did you use?

    Cathy first 3 shots with a sigma 105 without extension tubes
    last 3 shots with MPE-65 lens which goes from 1:1 to 5:1 magnification without ext tubes.

    Very nice pictures & great colors. My favorite ones are the stems w/pollen on them, they almost have a 3-D look to them.
