    Welcome to D-Grin!

You asked for a C&C...The first two are too dark to really see any details. I like the Cardinal, but it's so small I can hardly see it. Nice dog picture, but I can't even see his "better side". ne_nau.gif

thanks Mike.. exactly what i was looking for. I was using the 50-200 nikkor lens on all but the last one. I still have lots of work to do getting the right b/w balance and appeture setting on the zoom. I also try not to touch them post production, I figure when I start getting good shots ... i shouldn't need to. thanks very much for the comments, I hope my skill will improve as I grow at this.

Nothing wrong with refining your pictures in post, like minor exposure, contrast etc. Make sure your shooting RAW. This way you CAN "fix" minor things.

I use ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) to adjust my WB, contrast, lighting etc; then I use CS2 to refine it more (if needed) like cloning imperfections, like sensor dirt, twigs etc. Then save it as a 'PSD' then resize/sharpen for the web as a 'JPG'.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.. after reading your reply i goofed around with one of the wasp shots a bit. I think i'll need just as much work with software as I will with the shot lol3.gif
