So I rented a 100-400mm lens last weekend and on the way home stopped at the pond by our house. Here are a couple of shots I took.

1. Three Mallards in flight

2. As they turned toward me a little more

3. Going in for a landing

4. Pose for the camera

5. Birds of a feather

6. The last light of the day (not a duck but there is one in the back ;)

Any C&C appreciated!

I really enjoyed using this lens for the weekend. We also went to the zoo and had tons of fun with it there as well. Now I just need to start saving the money....

Thanks for looking!

    Nice job.

Since you asked for a C&C...I would straighten out the horizon on the first two. If you haven't cropped any of these pictures, then I would crop the third one just a bit more, like 25%. I like the pose on the 4th one, but try to get lower if you could next time and I would leave a little bit more "swimming room" on the bottom/left.

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely fix the horizon on the first two. I haven't cropped any of them but will try your suggestion on the third one.

    Thanks again!
