I shot all these photos at her house using the house lights or the model lights from the strobe. Shot with 40d + 70-200 2.8 IS on a tripod with iso 800 or up. What do you think?

I agree #4. People will hammer on the blown spots, but to me they work in this case.
    Thanks, Matt

Nice set of photos. I do like them all. The shadow edge is hard in several. How small was your light and how far away? Thanks for posting.

    Lovely set.thumb.gif
Your friend is a capable model fersure!
One little nit: don't EVER let your model look in a general direction of a camera, but not into it (last picture). If her eyes are not fixed precisely on the lens, they should be WAY off, like 30..45 degrees off.. deal.gif

I'm also wondering why did you use only the modeling light but not the strobe itself? headscratch.gif

What a beautiful model. I agree about the last one seeming a bit off with how she is not quite looking at the camera. Is there any particular reason why you had your ISO pretty high?

    Thanks for the comments guys.......

I was shooting about 2-3 feet away from the model. and since I don't want too much of the background to show that's why I only turned on the house lights besides her and the one on the ceiling. If i don't set the iso high it will take a few seconds to take the shot...so.........i don't think the pic will come out sharp you know.

I was experiencing different lights and technique from the strobe. Just want to see the different.
