Swampscott in the fog

Fog rolled in about 3pm today and I headed right out...
Put some new LR techniques to use in post. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Nice! The 4th is a lovely abstract but they're all wonderfully peaceful, yet colorful. Whatever you're doing in LR is working really well

Now I just have to fight the urge to revisit the previous 40,000+ images that I processed before learning some of these basic tricks

I also like #1 and #4. #2 has a lot of potential, also. Have you used gradient techniques in the pictures? I've found that it can add a lot of depth by applying an exposure gradient to the sky and an exposure and/or clarity gradient to the foreground.

Hey Tom,
I've used the gradient in the past but there wasn't anything to pull out of that sky in these shots. Just some grayness/fog. Those rocks are really begging for some dramatic sky...I'll just have to make it a point to revisit them for a dramatic sunrise.

I guess I'm the outsider: I like #5 the best.

Glad to see that someone else gets excited when a fog bank rolls in. It's a great time to shoot.
