A discovery during a hike

Last summer I happened onto an old Iron Furnace back in the mountains of Pennsylvania while fishing for native trout. After researching George Washingtons logs of his time in Fayette County I learned that he had used this furnace to have musket parts made during his stay. I thought you might enjoy seeing this part of history.

this story might bring a chuckle...

My bride and I visited Greece and I'm a ruins fan. So when I saw that part of Homers home was only 25 miles away, we hightailed it there. We had a map but when we got to the place we passed it twice.

Finally we nailed it. But to my chagrin a youngster was shooting hoops on the wall of Homers house....
