Inman Park Art Festival In Atlanta--Help With Prices

I am participating in the Inman Park Art Festival in Atlanta in April. I plan to have mainly 8x10's matted to 11x14.

Any suggestions on what a good price range for that size and format?

I haven't done art shows before so I am not sure what kind of prices people will pay at an art festival in ATL.

Ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

I just did my very first Art Show at a local level here in the rural area of NC. I priced mine based on what I thought they were worth and what my vision was. This was a show and not a Festival. But I have Festivals now in my sights, and have no real intention of changing my prices, though I feel fairly certain I could get a higher price in Atlanta. Why not choose whatever price sooth's your heart.

I just read a good post the other day here , but cannot find it now..it showed the differences in pricing right at one show and all that comes with it.

There are pricing guides out there. But more importantly is knowing your demographic.

    cheers, tom

Just a heads up, since you're planning on selling your photos, in the sizes, you have "Original" activated, which means anyone can download a copy of your photo in its original hi resolution size, and then they will have a hi res digital file from which they can print their own photo in any size.
You might want to disable the "Original" in the size category.

I charge $30 for an 8 x 10 portrait or wedding print.....I have seen them priced here anywhere from $10 to $150 at shows and galleries.....a lot depends on the matting.....if your just doing white center cut mats or if your getting into museum{believe that is correct name} mats (photos are off center at least a little if not a lot to one side or really close to the bottom or top......are they going to be signed ( that has a big effect on price.......I feel if the print is signed it is worth more also than if the mat is signed......but that is just me).

Angevin 1---Where in NC are you located? I lived in Asheville and went to college for awhile out there.

    Blaker,

I sent you a PM to explain what you mean. Sorry if I appear a bit clueless.
