    The cow lily's just popped up in my yard this weekend.

    I don't know what lens you used. I do know that that 300 f/4 you have is excellent for these types of shots. deal.gif

    I used my 50 mm f/11 .5 sec with window light and a black blanket as a bg. Thanks.wings.gif

    Another excellent lens!

    Do you think that the shot might have been even better if the background had some texture?

    I mentioned the 300 because it compresses the background for a nice bokeh. Not really applicable on this one I guess.

    A blurred dark vignette might be something to consider too.
