Convinced one of my daughters to play "super model" with me as a way to take some baby steps in my lighting education.

Setup was a 550ex shooting into an umberlla camera left...with 580ex on camera.

You can see the progression: http://www.pbase.com/leebase/daughter1&page=all

As you look through the photos...can you pick out the point where I started using the LightSphereII on my 580ex? I found that even with the umbrella, the lighting was a bit harsh due to the 580 front flash...and became much more pleasing with the 550ex/Umbrella and 580ex/LSII

You can always turn the on camera flash off and only use the light from the umbrella. Then their is the option to use different ratios and send less light from the 580 or on camera unit.
