First, I'd like to congratulate all of the (many!) participants of this challenge for showing an incredible variety (and volume!) of photos. Many of the photos I liked didn't make honorable mentions, but I have to draw the arbitrary line somewhere :dunno
So, without further ado...
The Honorable Mentions:
The top 5:
#5 - grimace: Proof that great landscapes can be taken with a blue sky. A beautiful composition with a fascinating subject.
#4 - jovusa - Neon: Not only are the colors and reflective quality of the objects outstanding, but so is their arrangement.
#3 - lisasolonynko - Dangerous Sunset: I love the simplicity of this shot. Perfect choice for a silhouette which makes the tangled barbed wire look even more menacing, and the colors are outstanding as well.
#2 - annnna8888 - Winters Mists. A fantastic composition, with the s-curve winding through to the background. I also like the DOF here with the focus on the foreground, and the softness on the background which also happens to be where the fog is, making it even more ethereal. The bare trees really say "winter" to me as well.
#1: jeffmeyers - Beach World Sunrise. Putting that fish-eye to great use! I never thought I would choose a foot-printed beach photo place first, but this is just great and I actually like the footprints. I love the sharpness, the white sand, the colors, the "small" buildings on the left, and of course, the fish-eye effect.
So congratulations to Jeff, the torch has now been passed to you. Hopefully the participants in your challenge will make it as difficult for you as they did for me :thumb

Ron - I really enjoyed this topic; I think it has already helped my photography by giving me something to look for in landscapes and other images when composing. Fun and educational!
That looked like one tough contest to judge - way too many good looking pictures lol.
