This is the only shot of lightning I've been able to capture.
Pretty sad considering I live in Florida the lightining capitol of the states.

Well you certainly picked a winner to shoot. I would personally crop some of the bottom off and darken it a bit, but you have a great shot.

Cool shot. I like the alignment with the windows of the house. Makes me glad I wasn't in it at the time. thumb.gif

    Nice shot... clap.gif

Couple questions if you do't mind? what WB were you using (incandesant ? it seems to pull more of the blues). And how at night do you get the focus right? i took 91 pics the other night and this was my best.. and it's not so good :cry

Well first I set the focus to infinity, and I had the WB on tungsten by mistake but as you see it worked out well. This was the last shot of that night, I caught it by pure luck.

I haven't shot lightning but it would appear that you have to shoot with manual focus with hyperfocal dsitance (ie inifnity) so there is zero focus hunting. shoot in raw and ignore WB till afterwards.

Beautiful. I like the blue hue of this... purple is always nice, but blue somehow is more electrifying.
