    Epilogue
<!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message -->I threw together a quick map this morning. I nearly crashed Google Maps, so our last little detour around the Smokies/Asheville is not included. All in all, by my odometer, it was 4217 miles over the 10 days.

    When do we go again?

And you'll see that shot again in an upcoming Mazda ad! I forgot to mention this in my post - when we rolled into that lookout area on the side of the road, there was a tractor trailer, several smaller trailers, lots of tech guys with road cases, and two uber-shiny brand spankin' new Mazda cars. Definitely packing up after a photo shoot or commercial production. Not a surprise, gorgeous spot. Definitely wanted a tripod at that point.

    Very cooooooool.

Once again I feel like a slacker with the RT and VFR waiting patiently in the garage to go back out again...

The wind just sucks. Across NV and into St. George, we hit wind and missed what turned out to be a really gully washer.

    Motorcycle touring totally rocks.

you have this backwards...deal.gif , St.George usually is very nice, the problem is when it gets windy once in awhile its only because Nevada Sucks so bad....:D

Awesome stuff man! We stopped in a few of those spots last trip as well. White Sands threw us off, coming from Alaska we found ourselves nervously slowing way down on the corners, since it looks exactly like snow. rolleyes1.gif For Carlsbad we went to Wal-Mart and bought cheap tripods, which helped a lot if not completely solving the lighting problem in the cave. Mine shattered later, while shooting at 24 below here in AK this winter. rolleyes1.gif

Looks like you had a ton of fun! Thanks for posting and letting us in on a little of it!

It's worse than snow! Don't ask my dad how he knows...

That same Wal-Mart provided us with a new audio patch cable for our coms, dinner, AND beer!

It was definitely fun, and even though I didn't have time to savor it like you guys did, just seeing so many different things was amazing. Thanks for reading!
