How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Some excellent shots here. Unfortunately I can't play. I think the closest Egrets are about 2000 miles from here. :( And that's including Herons!

Sure we have egrets in the NYC metro area... a bit early in the season for them though.. and loons, herons, skimmers, Pergrine Falcons, Pheasant, Turkey, plus a millions other bird species, etc..

Haven't participated in the egret fest in a while.
It might be because I don't have any recent egret shots to add to the impressive collection in this post.
    Awesome images everyoneclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif
I'll just have to dig out a few from the archives.

HAPPY EGRET FEST TO ALL wings.gif :ivar wings.gif :ivar wings.gif :ivar

Have to join Egret Fest!! Here are some photos of Snowy Egrets I took during the MI shoot in Feb., late in the afternoon and a head shot of a Great Egret I got last year.

    Handsome

I know there's a fish down here somewhere!
    egret-2

    Peekaboo
    egret-3

I wish I was better at captions....

From the looks of your shots Harry I think I should get back over to your side of FL for a day or 2!
Everyone's photos on here are a joy to see, inspiring and good incentives to get out more. Many thanks to everyone who contributes!clap.gif

Yay, my first Egret Fest! My contribution is meager at best. These are all from my trip to Costa Rica in 2005. I really need to find some of these closer to me so I can improve. Keep 'em coming!

Wonderful shots from everyone! I can't come anywhere close, but I loved the look this little one was giving me and the way his "hair" was blowing in the wind.
