Integrating print sales with other sites

I am considering signing with an online gallery. This site will market and sell my work and take a commission on sales that go through their site. I will print and fulfill all orders myself. They do not restrict their artists from selling on other sites, as long as the prices are the same, so in theory I could continue to offer the same pieces for sale through my Smugmug site (and pay no commissions on those sales of course). I would like to offer limited edition, signed prints for all work sold on both sites.

However, I have a few problems with this model.

1. In order to offer the best presentation of my work, I would like to have all prints made with wide boarders for signing and archival matting. I can't see a way to specify this within the Smugmug print options - is this possible?

2. If someone orders a print via my Smugmug site, is there a way to specify that the print be sent to me first for signing? (I would pay for shipping on the second leg).

3. I prefer to use Giclee printing, which is offered through Bayhoto. However, I only see a watercolor paper as an option. I prefer a smoother surface, are there other paper options?

4. Are there quantity discounts for multiple prints of the same image offered through Bayphoto?

Thanks in advance,
Steven Keller

Hi, great post. I'm sorry we don't have any of these things, but it's great you asked them and let us know how important they are to you. Thanks.
