Shipping a framed photo to Australia

I have a 16x20 picture frame I need to ship to (near) Sydney, Australia (from Chicagoland)
I've investigated the usual suspects (USPS, UPS, FedEx) The cost involved seem rather frightening ($200+!!!)
Anyone have any other carriers/methods to recommend that might be a bit more reasonable?
I an not in a hurry. Transit times of a few weeks would be fine (let's just say it's a Christmas gift (2008). It's behind schedule enough already):rolleyes
Thanks

Don't UPS charge according to weight ? BH or Adorama charge 60$ to ship 1Kg package to Pakistan.
I don't know about Australian laws of customs and taxation. Here they would charge 30% on all items imported exceeding 100$ including shipping so keep in mind that too.
all the best

USPS has a limit of ~75 linear inches to Australia for International First Class. My box measures 95. (length plus circumference). Priority Mail was $230 with my current box. I might be able to repackage the frame (there are a few other bits in the box ) I have not calculated whether I can get to ~75 linear inches...yet.
What about ordering same frame from online store based in Australia ? If you have picture in it you can only send print to some framing shop in Australia ask them to print and wrap it as gift and post to address....

Currently, I don't have the file.
I'm currently rebuilding my image drive after loosing every processed image since, well, I'm not sure how far back yet...! My backup/disaster plan didn't include me being incomprehensibly stupid. That will get fixed pronto!
I suppose when you look at shipping an irreplaceable (currently) photo to Australia for $230 maybe that's not so bad.
