World's Oldest Squirrel

I rarely post photos that I have to apologize for, but this is one of them. This one's not in focus and not well composed. I was able to get off one shot, and barely had time to swing the lens around for that.

I saw this squirrel from a distance and thought it was some other animal at first. The ears and face are snow white. Whiter than this image shows. Not shown in the image is that the white extended up the head like a white blaze on a horse. His front paws are white, too.

The squirrel hobbled off before I could get a second shot. Not scampered; hobbled. It had the same gait as an arthritic old man (Me, in a couple of years). It disappeared in the underbrush. Didn't even attempt to climb a tree.

    Here's a "normal" squirrel for comparison. I don't normally take photos of squirrels on my bird feeder, but I do have this one.
