glorious, sunny day. Just think this one is humorous - the player in white never flinched - just kept playing the ball.

    Nice one Ann thumb.gifthumb.gif

It looks like a bit more than the ordinary uniform tug.....lol We used to call these xxxxxxxx fouls. xxxxxxxxx rhymes with technical, and are a part of the male anatomy rolleyes1.gif

Great shot Ann! Nice job on the exposure, crop, and post work.

Now about that 'tug' :uhoh , you mean the ref didn't see it umph.gif -lol.

    BTW-are these taken with Andy's former 70-200?

    Take care,

    Mongrel
If every keystroke was a shutter press I'd be a pro by now...

Thanks Ian. I try to follow the advice of a guy on another forum - always wide open. It is taking me a while to figure out the right combo of iso and shutter speed to work with when wide open, especially since the weather has been so variable. This particular game was perhaps the first I didn't have to deal with variable cloud or setting suns.

Laughing.gif, Steve - they get more and more agressive each year. I guess it comes with the coming of testosterone!

    Hi Mongrel
Well, no the ref did not call that. There is a whole series of these two going for that ball - about 5 shots in a row, and the little guy just does not let go of the shorts!
    Gallery is here:

Very little post on these ones, some usm I think is all. Great sunshine means great shots.
And yes, this is with the 70 - 200 f2.8 L that I bought from andybay!!!

I think sports photography is both luck and good timing.....actually almost all photography is, isn't it?

Yeah, I am surprised there wasn't any kind of retaliation happening.
