Has anything been done to help with the interference that limits it's distance to 30-40 feet with the 580EXII? Have you used yours with a 580EXII?
Since I don't even own Flex unit I didn't use Mini with 580, and I don't plan to. My solemn interest in Mini is to have a smaller chunk of plastic on top of my camera (instead of original PW) and use its wonderful hypersync feature.

I think these units have some fundamental flaws to overcome before they are useful. The biggest issues are the use of frequencies that interfere with flashes and limit the range, and inability to perform tasks like setting the manual power of remote units. Unfortunately fixing these issues are major changes to the system.
I am leaning toward the new RadioPopper PX units. It looks like a better system.
