Hi kddog...... Thanks for the nice comment ..... azzaro
You sure are one to get up for that early morning light.
Lead by example works for me. Doesn't mean I am going to get up though.
Michael
If you lived close Michael, I'd come over and get ya up......
The horses were milling around waiting to be fed, and they kicked up a lot of dust and it just hung in the air around them... It was the dust that created the dramatic lighting.
I focused on the horses and shot the pic. at f16. The question is, is it in focus and the dust makes the horses look a little soft, or did the dust fool the auto focus and it is out of focus.... Or, God forbid, I screwed up!!!!!
Thanks everybody for commenting.... azzaro
Azzaro...
I actually think the slightly OOF horses works well here. Everything behind the steel cables (including the horses) has a sort of ethereal quality. IMHO if the horses were in sharp focus the image would not have that "magical" golden hour feeling to it.

You'd have to work hard to get me up at this beautiful hour. I used to be a morning person, but then I retired. :ivar

Thanks Jack for the nice comment...... I PP the picture right after I took it, and it is as accurate as I could make it to the moment..... azzaro
Thanks Lauren for the comment...... I'm retired too, but I still get up like I did when I headed out to a job site.... azzaro
That be nice. I suppose you'd make me brew up a pot for your aggravation.
I'm suprised thats all you got for f16. From what I think happen I'd stay the
horses moved just enough against your shutter speed to make it appear
the camera or "something" failed you. the ground beyond their feet looks
sharp enough just passed their bodies. If thats the way you also think it
might be then I'd also say you have a very steady platform there.
The shutter speed was 1/40 of a second ......... The horses probably moved a little........Darn horses..........THANKS FOR COMMENTING DaddyO
