Here are a few pics I shot at a friends wedding.
I am looking at getting into wedding photography as a way of not traveling for location jobs.
Kind of fun not having an art director looking over my shoulder the whole time:thumb

These look like a really good start. I do have a few questions though.

Are you using a softening filter or some kind of blurring post processing effect?
What equipment did you use to take these shots? The reason I ask is because the last is quite noisy - maybe asking for a flash or lower ISO + faster lens, etc.

You are definitely on the right track creatively. thumb.gif

The first shows you aren't a seasoned pro --- in a good way! You approached the subject in a different way than is normally executed. Well done. Keep looking for new ways to do things and you can carve out a niche for yourself pretty quickly.

The second image is good - was that flash serendipitous or is that an off-camera flash of yours? You can only count on 'luck' so much.

The third image... meh. It's serviceable and gets the moment, but it's likely nothing to write home about.... but for a first shot, hey, not bad.

I like the first and second shot alot. I also wonder if that second shot is one of your flashes or just luck?

I like to do a layer of blur then erase out most of the effect on the subject.
    I shot these with a 5d.
I used a a very high ISO on the outside shot so it dident look to strobed and to pick up the back ground light.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Seems like the first shot is the winner in this series.

    Just luck.
I have set up those types of shots on ad jobs lots of times, but this one was just lucky.
