Owl be seeing me!

Only my second shot ever of an owl...I have no idea what kind it is. My other owl was a Great Horned so I know that's not it.

Everything was against me on this one...light...strong wind...branches and twigs. Still, I'm glad to have it.:D

    Almost seems like it's camouflaged against the branches, which works very well for this image.
    It's hard to tell that everything was working against you from what I see ne_nau.gif

    It's definitely a barred owl, it's what we have at our local zoo here. Great eyes, I hear them here around my house all the time but have never seen one.

    Good spot (by your wife :D). I don't have any wild owl photos yet, so you're two up on me! Even with the branches, wind, etc., the shot came out well.
