Photo classes? Maine Photo Workshops?

Looking into activities for my upcoming gap year and want to include some photo classes . . . Came across Maine Media Workshops and it looks really neat. Anyone have any experience with them or know anything about their reputation? This is their website: http://www.theworkshops.com/index.asp

Also . . . anyone have suggestions on similar programs? I would like an intensive photo program (preferably residential) that I could do for 1 to 4 months. (I have some flexibility but am looking to travel for the second half of the year.)

    They have a pretty good rep around here (in Maine) as far as I know of. I have not personally been to any of their workshops, but it's not from lack of interest. It's from lack of time and money!

    well thats good to hear. yeah they're kinda pricey. but i definitely have the time!

    After doing 10 weeks of the Professional Certificate Program I strongly endorse the workshops!
