Today I drove my family to Arlanda (Airport of Sweden/Stockholm). My spouse Charlotte and my two boys Liam and Elliot are gonna go for a visit to my parents-in-law (the boy's grandparents) down in Småland, far south of Sweden. This means that I'm a grass widower for atleast a week. Should I be ashamed to say "YIIEEEPIE!"? *Haha* Sure, I'm gonna miss them like crazy - but still! Being a father of two children, spare-do-what-ever-you-like-when-ever-you-like-time is a luxury!

When they embarked the aircraft, I took a few snapshots of the plane. Actually I got a shot of Charlotte and Liam glancing out throught that little round window on the ramp, but I got a bit fuzzy, so it wasn't worth posting. Anyway, when I took these shots, I got this idea - why not trying to find a spot where I can shoot the planes when they start and land. I found a great spot, but the shots of the plane straight up and down wasn't very interesting. Instead, I involved my dear Volvo! *Haha*

Stay Tuned / Matty

thumb.gif Nice idea, especially #3. Did you apply some effects to the shots in post?

    Thanx!
Yes, I've softened them, and given them a little color boost. That's it! 1drink.gif

I like the effect. Gaussian blur and saturation?

    Hi Matty,
Glad to see your shots over here. I like your comp on the last one best, the perspective is very deceiving. Either that, or it's an airline for VERY small people :D .

No, I use "Box Blur" (PSCS2) set to radius 6....
... on a copy of the background layer, then I set opacity to apporx 25-30. Before, in PSCS1, I usually softed by adding "Dust & Scratches" at radius 5-7 and Threshold 0, then set the layer opacity to approx. 25-30. This gives a little different kind of soft look.

that is a very cool take on the scene... I like the last one the best, with the widest angle (or so it seems).
