Renaissance Pleasure Faire, So. CA
It's an annual event in LA. Buddy shooter and I went the opening weekend. I wasn't sure what to think of the event b/c I've gone before so many times.
I decided to do less documentary work of what was there to only shots that interest me. Mainly, I was interested in capturing motion, interesting moments (timing), and interesting light. So I ended up shooting a lot less and focusing more on the belly dancers b/c I think they are dynamic subjects and some interesting performers.
Some of the shots are a bit tight b/c I use only primes and so in events when the performers are moving back and forth, I don't have the reaction time or sometimes the space to move with the performer.
Anyway, I'm about half way done with the processing.
1. Lady in Red.
2. Back in Red.
3. Veil Dancer.
4. Fiddlin' around.
5. Raise your hand if you're sure.
6. Jousting, if you look, he just popped a balloon with his spear.
