04 April 2009 Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival

My Daughter, Cassis and I found a place to park about 6:45AM and walked to the tidal basin for some spectacular cherry blossoms. We couldn't have picked a better day, the blossoms were peak perfect! The only down side was the wind... but we persevered and this is what I came up with...

    Unfortunately, I'm a bit jaded because I drive past them every day. This is the most beautiful time in DC! I keep meaning to take a day off to play tourist, but the blossoms are gone before I make the time. :cry

    I've got lots of things planned for when I retire..:D

    Very well done! I especially love the ones with the monuments in the background--nicely composed.
