Broke out the gear to get ready for spring. Took a few practice shots of the only thing moving around here. These little Common Redpolls aren't much bigger than hummers. Half an ounce on average according to the literature. Pretty good subjects to practice on as they don't sit still very long...

Thanks, Ric and Karin. On the second shot I was testing out a new 1.4xTC. Pretty well pleased with the results when compared with the lens sans TC. It does require pinching down an f-stop to get crisp results with the TC though.
